Martin Shaw has held senior posts in both the not for profit sector and local authorities. Over the past twenty plus years he has been a Fundraising and Management Consultant both independently and with MIDAS Charity Appeals LLP, having spent most of his time on management and infrastructure issues. In the past he has raised significant sums of money from sources such as the European Commission, the corporate sector and the Lottery, but in the past ten years or so he has specialised on management issues with faith groups - much within the Muslim community.

His previous 25 years experience as a professional youth and community worker enabled him in his spare time to be the Chair of an outdoor pursuit centre for young people in the heart of Kings Cross for over 12 years until 2006, and he was Chair of Haringey Shed, an inclusive theatre company for children and young people for 12 years, and is now a Trustee. He is also a Trustee of several other charities including St Ethelburga's Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, Third Text and Being Humanitarian, and he acts as an advisor to many other faith charities.

"Many thanks Martin, your generous attitude throughout this whole adventure has been much appreciated by all concerned." - Journal for Analytical Psychology

"We are most appreciative of your speedy and helpful responses to requests for advice and particularly your excellent work at the workshop" - Faith Based Regeneration Network

"I would like give my thanks for having the opportunity to attend the talk given by Martin Shaw, he is one of the best speakers that I have come across, he was informative, and has a deep understanding of his subject. He was able to address all the questions that were asked in away that was clear and helpful."
